My Approaches to Therapy
Healing can happen when we are in a safe environment. Hypnotherapy provides that environment. How it works is, you will go into a dream like state, similar to just before you go to sleep and here the subconscious mind becomes more dominant and the conscious mind takes a back step. It is possible to then access the part of you that has stored events or memories that may have affected you emotionally and when these events are explored, it is possible to access the root cause of your issue that is presenting itself. By exploring and understanding past events and sometimes, reaching a degree of forgiveness, it is possible to come to peace with what has happened . The beliefs formed from these events can then fall away and the negative reactions that you have in your life, to certain events, can fall away ready for new growth.

Once the root cause has been dealt with it is important to not dwell on the past, but to form new goals of how you would like to be and work towards that goal. New neural pathways can be formed in the brain when we imagine our end goal and how we would like to be, from there we can find the small steps we need to take to get us there and then explore and overcome any obstacles that may be preventing us from moving forward and obtaining our goals.

This first step will be an informal chat to see your reasons for seeking help and answer any questions you may have.
In the Initial Consultation we discuss what it is you would like to achieve and to give a treatment plan. A hypnotherapy treatment is included to access the positive skills you have used in the past to overcome problems and help you to imagine a preferred future in which these skills and strengths are employed.
In the following sessions we will use hypnotherapy to overcome any obstacles that are preventing you from being fulfilled or moving forward. This could visit past events that have caused negative beliefs and blocks in your life to uncover them and resolve them.
